What You Can Buy

SNAP clients can buy all foods intended to be eaten at home. Some things, such as alcoholic beverages, cigarettes, foods hot at the

point of sale, non-food items, vitamins or medicines and pet foods are not allowed.

Though it is always important to be health-conscious, EBT carriers are not required to buy specific foods relating to healthy diets.

Children automatically qualify for free school breakfast and lunch when they receive SNAP benefits.
