• Center for Disease Control and Prevention -  Provides information and statistics on youth violence in America and techniques to prevent it.
• National Criminal Justice Reference Service - Information and statistics on youth violence in America.

• PolicyforResults.org:  PolicyForResults.org is dedicated to helping policymakers make sound decisions that contribute to better outcomes and opportunities for all children and families.
• Center for Children's Law and Policy: a public interest law and policy organization focused on reform of juvenile justice and other systems that affect troubled and at-risk children, and protection of the rights of children in those systems. The Center’s work covers a range of activities including research, writing, public education, media advocacy, training, technical assistance, administrative and legislative advocacy, and litigation.
• Center for the Study of Social Policy (CSSP), a nonprofit, nonpartisan, research and technical assistance organization headquartered in Washington, D.C. Our mission is to promote public policies and practices that improve the lives of children by strengthening their families, their communities and the public systems intended to serve them.
• American Youth Policy Forum: a nonprofit, nonpartisan professional development organization based in Washington, DC, provides learning opportunities for policymakers, practitioners, and researchers working on youth and education issues at the national, state, and local levels.
• Promising Practices Network:  The PPN website is a unique resource that offers credible, research-based information on what works to improve the lives of children and families.
• National Center for Juvenile Justice: a resource for independent and original research on topics related directly and indirectly to the field of juvenile justice.
• National Center for Mental Health and Juvenile Justice: uses a three-prong approach to link research, policy and practice in an interconnected loop of activity intended to help the field better understand and respond to the complex needs of this population of youth
• Bendheim Thoman Center for Research on Child Wellbeing at Princeton University: stimulates basic research, educate faculty and students about issues related to children's policies, and influence policymakers and practitioners at the federal, state, and local levels.
