• The Lenfest Center for the Arts: The Lenfest Center for the Arts "is a multi-use facility designed and equipped to accommodate a broad spectrum of the performing arts, including theater, musical theater, opera and operetta, choral and band music, dance and performance art in one energizing complex." Although located on Washington and Lee University's campus, it offers experiences pertaining to the arts to all members of the community.

• Lexington City Office On Youth: The Office on Youth works "to help other youth serving agencies in the City of Lexington provide programs for students in Lexington and its environs." During the year, they manage an after school program for students, and during the summer they provide a youth program.

• The Youth Literacy Program at Rockbridge Regional Library System: The Youth Literacy program allows for "trained tutor/mentors work with elementary-age students who are struggling with reading." Students and Tutors work together to find a time each week to work on the student's reading skills.

• Rockbridge Area Recreation Organization (RARO): RARO works with the community and manages an assortment of sports tournaments and teams throughout the year. 
• The River Runners: Team River Runners helps students across Rockbridge County get outside. Volunteer coaches work with students to train and prepare for a race at the end of the season.

• The Government of Lexington City: "Headed by the City Council, which is composed of a Mayor and six Council Members, the Lexington City Government is an organization dedicated to serving the people of [their] community." 
• City Council: "The City Council is the legislative and policy-making body of the city. It is composed of six residents who are elected at large. The mayor, who is independently elected, is the presiding officer." City Council meetings occur the first and third Thursdays of each month at 8PM in Waddell Elementary School's cafeteria.

• Lexington City Office On Youth : The Office on Youth works "to help other youth serving agencies in the City of Lexington provide programs for students in Lexington and its environs." During the year, they manage an after school program for students, and during the summer they provide a youth program.  
• Lexington City Schools: Lexington City Schools provide education to students who live in and near Lexington City. The district is comprised of one elementary school and one middle school. For high school, students who previously attended city schools will attend Rockbridge County High School.
• Harrington Waddell Elementary School: In the 2018-2019 school year, Harrington Waddell Elementary School (HWES) had 333 students enrolled.
• Lylburn Downing Middle School: In the 2018-2019 school year, Lylburn Downing Middle School (LDMS) had 189 students enrolled.  
• Rockbridge County Schools: Rockbridge County Schools educates the students of the greater Rockbridge County, including Buena Vista. The system is comprised of three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. Lexington City students also attend Rockbridge County High School.  
• Central Elementary School: In the 2018-2019 school year, Central Elementary School (CES) had 529 students enrolled. 
• Fairfield Elementary School: In the 2018-2019 school year, Fairfield Elementary School (FES) had 275 students enrolled. 
• Mountain View Elementary School: In the 2018-2019 school year, Mountain View Elementary School (MVES) had 123 students enrolled.
• Natural Bridge Elementary School: In the 2018-2019 school year, Natural Bridge Elementary School (NBES) had 257 students enrolled.                
• Maury River Middle School: In the 2018-2019 school year, Maury River Middle School (MRMS) had 662 students enrolled. 
• Rockbridge County High School: In the 2018-2019 school year, Rockbridge County High School (RCHS) had 997 students enrolled.

• Lexington Police Department: The Lexington Police Department "serve[s] a residential community of over 7,000 in addition to thousands of students from the Virginia Military Institute and Washington & Lee University. • Alert Rockbridge: "Rockbridge County and the cities of Lexington and Buena Vista use Alert Rockbridge to immediately contact [citizens] during a major crisis or emergency. When an incident or emergency occurs, authorized senders will instantly notify [citizens] using Alert Rockbridge."

• The Campus Kitchen at Washington and Lee University: Washington and Lee's Campus Kitchen partners with an assortment of organizations in Lexington, such as Lexington County Office On Youth and The Manor of Natural Bridge. Additionally, they work with schools to provide a Backpack Program for students and run a mobile food pantry.  
• Rockbridge Area Relief Association (RARA): The Rockbridge Area Relief Association works to end hunger in Lexington as well as the greater Rockbridge Area by maintaining a client-choice food pantry as well as a helpline that helps prevent evictions and utility cutoffs. 
• The Community Table: The Community Table "seeks to relieve hunger while building community in Lexington, Buena Vista, and Rockbridge County of Virginia. We serve everyone regardless of the ability to donate." The organization offers dinner on Mondays as well as Wednesday lunch for anyone in the community to enjoy.
