    • South Carolina Department of Children's Advocacy -  The South Carolina Department for Children’s Advocacy (DCA) was established by Act 160 of the South Carolina General Assembly, effective July 1, 2019. The South Carolina Department for Children’s Advocacy is an independent state agency charged with ensuring that children across South Carolina receive adequate protection and care from services or programs related to the welfare of children.

    • Make A Wish South Carolina -  Granting the wishes of children with critical illnesses.

    • National Youth Advocate Program - This North Charleston-based organization partners with various governmental and private agencies throughout the state all working together to improve the lives of children and families.

    • Palmetto DeMolay Association - developing the civic awareness, personal responsibility and leadership skills in young men ages 12-21
      • Mission Statement: "Basing its approach on timeless principles and practical, hands-on experience, DeMolay opens doors for young men aged 12 to 21 by developing the civic awareness, personal responsibility and leadership skills so vitally needed in society today." 
    • Able South Carolina - Able SC provide services to individuals with any disability, at any age; they also provide services to parents who have disabilities. Additionally, Able SC’s EQUIP program provides services for young adults (ages 13-28) to provide them with the tools they need to become successful adults.  Specifically, EQUIP teaches young adults about leadership, disability pride, and empowerment, and educates the community about the importance and value of inclusion. 
      • Mission Statement: "To create greater access and opportunities for independence through empowering individuals with disabilities and promoting community inclusion."
    • Family Connection of South Carolina -  A statewide nonprofit organization that links families of children with special healthcare needs and disabilities with resources, support and education. Their support for families includes a family-to-family network, statewide offices and a host of programs to educate, inspire and empower families and their children to live rich, fulfilling lives in spite of many challenges.

      • Their operations: "The Children's Defense Fund provides a strong, effective and independent voice for all the children of America who cannot vote, lobby or speak for themselves.     • FamilyCorps of South Carolina -  FamilyCorps is a statewide nonprofit providing evidence based family strengthening programs for child welfare and juvenile justice involved families.  Facilitators trained in the Parents Anonymous Support Group Model provide a network parent and youth support groups which are evidence based as an effective Intervention for Abuse and an effective Parent Partner Program Model.   Parent Advocates are trained and certified to work one-on-one with parents outside of group support. All programs and trainings are designed to strengthen families to achieve personal growth, improve functioning and wellbeing and promote parent leadership and advocacy.

    • Federation for Families of South Carolina - The Federation of Families of South Carolina is a nonprofit organization serving families of children with any degree of emotional, behavioral or psychiatric disorder. The services and programs offered by the Federation are designed to meet the individual and varying needs of families around the state. Through family and youth support networks, educational materials, publications, conferences/workshops and other activities, the Federation provides many avenues of support for families of children and youth with emotional, behavioral or substance use service needs.  
      • Mission Statement: " To provide leadership in the area of children’s mental health through education, awareness, support, and advocacy for families of children and youth with emotional, behavioral, mental and/or substance use disorders."
    • NAMI South Carolina -  NAMI South Carolina is a statewide nonprofit agency offering free support groups and courses for family members of children and adolescents displaying symptoms of mental health conditions.  We offer presentations for teens and in-service presentations to agencies and community partners that work with children and youth.

    • Mothers Against Drunk Driving -  The mission of Mothers Against Drunk Driving is to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these crimes, and prevent underage drinking.  
    • Hospice Care of South Carolina - Based in Spartanburg, South Carolina, this organization provides care for those with advanced illness. 
      • Mission Statement: " At Hospice Care of South Carolina, our mission is to be the leader in end-of-life care always, serving our communities with compassionate care."

    • Hospice and Palliative Care Foundation -  The Hospice & Palliative Care Foundation provides assistance to individuals in South Carolina who are challenged by end of life issues. 
      • Accomplishments: We have contributed over $1.2 million in support of hospice patients and families representing every county in South Carolina. Our services include providing financial assistance to help pay for critical unfunded expenses,  resources for memory making and legacy building,  grief education materials for teachers and school counselors to support children and their grieving family members and funding our family focused bereavement camps for children and families who have lost a loved within the past 3 years.
    • ASCEND Foundation - This Charleston- based organization is working to make cancer awareness and prevention a top national priority.  
    • National Kidney Foundation - This Columbia-based organization works to increase awareness, prevention and treatment of kidney disease. 
    • New Morning Foundation -  New Morning is leading the nation’s largest state-based contraceptive access program. Choose Well is a 360-degree approach to end unintended pregnancy.

    • Juvenile Arbitration Program - Juvenile Arbitration is a program operated in all 16 judicial circuits in South Carolina to divert first-time, non-violent juvenile offenders from the court. In the program, trained citizen volunteers work with offenders/parents, victims, and law enforcement to determine appropriate sanctions. 

    • SC Department of Juvenile Justice - The South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) is a state cabinet agency committed to serving South Carolina's youth offenders. DJJ is responsible for providing custodial care and rehabilitation for the state’s children who are incarcerated, on probation or parole, or in community placement for a criminal or status offense. DJJ also provides a variety of prevention and intervention programs for at-risk youth.

    • Justice 360 - The mission of Justice 360 is to promote fairness, reliability and transparency in the criminal justice system for individuals facing the death penalty and juveniles facing lengthy sentences in South Carolina. 

    • Project Unity USA - Project Unity USA is a non-profit organization that is committed to promoting unity in the community by bringing together the Community, Law Enforcement, Local businesses, Churches, and the Media. The vision, to sweep though high crime communities, teaching and encouraging these 5 groups to work together and reducing crime, helping to make communities a safer place to live, work and play.  

    • SC Access to Justice - Our mission is to facilitate collaboration that ensures equal access to civil legal assistance for all South Carolinians. The Commission is charged with identifying the scope of the need for civil legal services, and developing a long-term plan for ensuring that every person who needs representation can get it.

      • What they do: "Kiwanis members dedicate more than 18 million volunteer hours and invest more than US$107 million annually in projects that strengthen communities and serve children. We help shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, mentor the disadvantaged and care for the sick. We develop youth as leaders, build playgrounds, raise funds for pediatric research and much more. We believe that helping a child helps the world."
    • Eastern Carolina Housing Organization - The job of this organization is to create opportunities for people in the community experiencing a housing crisis to find a place they can call home.
      • Mission Statement: "ECHO’s mission is to break the cycles of homelessness experienced by individuals and families in our community." 
    • Salvation Army of the Carolinas
      • What they do: " The Salvation Army began responding to needs in the Carolinas in 1887. Now, we operate in every county, bringing hope, love, and light where it is needed most. Not only do we serve those in need of food, clothing, and shelter, we have afterschool programs that we operate in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. We operate innovative, life-saving programs like Project FIGHT (Freeing Individuals Gripped by Human Trafficking) as well as Pathway of Hope and Project CATCH, aimed a longer term, coordinated care."
