• Theatric Arts Davidson Community Players is a non-profit organization established to produce theatre that entertains, enriches, and encourages community participation in the dramatic arts. The Connie Company is DCP’s theatre for youth division. Both organizations have a long standing record of providing creative, authentic and affordable opportunities for both children and adults.
• Theater & Videography  Acting Out Studio is an award winning acting studio that brings Hollywood to the Southeast. Classes are offered year-round for kids to adults at all experience levels with 3 convenient studio locations in Charlotte, Fort Mill, and Cornelius.

• Davidson College Creative Arts Engagement Office The office of Davidson Arts and Creative Engagement (DACE) strives to integrate the arts into the daily lives of our students, faculty and staff. We support and work closely with the departments who foster intellectual and artistic growth of the visual, performing and literary arts at Davidson College. Specifically, we provide funding support annually to the programs of English, Theatre, Music, Art, Dance, and Film and Media Studies. To enrich the community through the arts, we offer grant opportunities to students, faculty and staff. These funds are made possible through the generosity of our members of Friends of the Arts – those who give to the Visual, Literary and Performing arts through the Fund for Davidson.

• Davidson College Art Gallery The William H. Van Every and Edward M. Smith Galleries play a fundamental role in the life of Davidson College. The Galleries support the academic mission of the college through the presentation, interpretation, and discussion of primarily contemporary works of art in all media. Gallery exhibitions and programs nurture individual thinking, develop visual literacy, and inspire a life-long commitment to the arts.

Davidson Branch's 6,000 sq. ft. centralized location makes it a popular afternoon destination for school-age children. The mission of the Davidson Public Library is to improve lives and build a stronger community as the essential connector of a thriving community of readers, leaders and learners.

•  Jay Hurt Hub @ Davidson In 2014, Davidson College purchased industrial space in downtown Davidson, originally built as part of the Davidson Cotton Mill in 1920. Today, it is a beautiful 23,000 square foot, cutting-edge, LEED Gold-certified facility where campus and community collide to spark vibrant technology, innovation and entrepreneurship in the Lake Norman area.

• Youth Education & Parent Services The LEARN Works program is Ada Jenkins Center’s oldest program. Operating for more than 15 years, LEARN Works is a well-respected, positive and productive program for local elementary and middle school students with academic needs. Our students attend Davidson Elementary, Cornelius Elementary and Bailey Middle Schools. Students are referred to our program by a school teacher or administrator. The purpose of the LEARN Works program is to partner with families, schools, and volunteers to support the academic progress of our students and to advance family engagement. We also provide enrichment activities that many could not otherwise afford.

• Farmer's Market  The mission of Davidson Farmer’s Market is to sponsor a weekly farmer’s Market in Davidson which provides locally grown food, educates the public about nutrition and the importance of eating locally grown foods and offers musical entertainment, special events and cooking and other demonstrations to create a community festival for the Town. • Veterans Assistance Continuing the Mission strives to provide assistance dogs and ongoing assistance dog support for Veterans living with the challenge of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and Military Sexual Trauma (MST)  to move forward as partners with purpose.
• Community Health Center At Lake Norman Community Health Clinic, our mission has been to  create a medical home for uninsured families and individuals in Mecklenburg and southern Iredell counties. We strive to empower our patients by educating them on ways to achieve and maintain a healthier lifestyle for themselves and their loved ones. We’ve successfully completed our Capital campaign,  commemorating 20 years of service to the community.
• Ada Jenkins Health Clinic  When operational, the Ada Jenkins Medical Clinic provides high-quality medical services at no cost to uninsured patients in Northern Mecklenburg county. Primary care and specialty care is available to all ages for both acute and chronic conditions. The Clinic offers an array of services including nurse assessments, lab work, medication management, preventative care, patient education, and referrals for diagnostic testing or specialty care that we cannot provide onsite. Our Community Health Nurses serve as health educators, patient advocates, and referral agents for our patients. Volunteers make these services possible. Dozens of local primary care physicians, medical specialists, mid-level practitioners, nurses, interpreters and administrators engage as medical clinic volunteers. Davidson College student volunteers play a critical role in clinic operations.

• Suicide Prevention In the wake of the devastating suicides and suicide attempts of 2012, Mayor John Woods gathered town leaders, while concerned parents had meetings of their own—Why here?  Why now?  And, most importantly, what can we do?  From those first meetings of concerned and worried community members, Davidson LifeLine launched.  Starting as a town initiative, led by citizens, Davidson LifeLine gained its non-profit 501(c)(3) status in August, 2014.

• Our Towns Habitat  A subsidiary branch of Habitat for Humanity operating in North Mecklenburg County. Our Towns promotes affordable housing in the North Mecklenburg and Iredell counties through two main programs—new homeownership and critical repairs. Our new homeownership program provides low-income families, who might not otherwise be able to buy a home, a path to homeownership with an affordable mortgage. Families must meet income and residency requirements, commit to homeowner and financial education classes, and serve 400 “sweat equity” hours, which are earned through working on the construction of their own home, volunteering on other build sites, in our ReStores, in the office, etc.

• Hope House Foundation "Hope to Home Collaborative" The mission of the Hope House Foundation is to provide transitional housing and supportive services to women and children who are experiencing homelessness in order for them to procure long-term housing and self-sufficiency. Their vision is to serve as a catalyst for social change to end homelessness in the Lake Norman area by providing and expanding transitional housing and supportive services to include families as they transform their lives into self-sufficiency.

• International Orphanage  Nepal Orphans Home attends to the welfare of children in Nepal who are orphaned, abandoned, or not supported by their parents. NOH provides for the children’s basic needs of food, shelter, and clothing, as well as schooling and health care, and administers to their emotional needs with love and compassion, allowing them to grow up in a nurturing environment. Our mission is not just to rescue children from abject poverty, but to enable the children to develop and realize their potentials.
• Students with Special Needs Abroad  It is our mission to serve children with special needs and their families in Romania & the Lake Norman area of North Carolina. Our goal is to enrich the lives of these children and their families by helping provide opportunity and a sense of community in which to blossom. We work to help improve the lives of the abandoned, orphaned, disabled and poverty stricken children at House of Angels in Romania, through ongoing financial support and Special Operations, in hopes of helping transform their despair into hope and progress. We are also here to offer support to Lake Norman families caring for children with special needs.

• Education Technology Access  The mission of E2D is to ensure that all students have affordable access to essential at-home technology and digital literacy training to support academic success and prepare students for college, careers, and beyond.
• Ada Jenkins Food Pantry  The Ada Jenkins Food Pantry, a partner of Loaves and Fishes, allows for client-partners to shop for their own groceries based on a nutritionally balanced shopping list provided by Loaves and Fishes. The mission of the Food Pantry is to provide low-income communities in Davidson-Cornelius with regular balanced groceries, eliminating food insecurity within the North Mecklenburg community.
